So, technically both the melody loop and non-melody loop counts as one loop - it was also done with the Tree Top Rock tune. The reason for its length is because for some reason they made it so that it plays through once, then the second time it plays without the main melody track. The 2nd longest tune in the entire DKC series including remakes, is the GBC version of "Northern Hemispheres" (which is actually a remix of "Ice Cave Chant").
